You Are Most Like Bill Clinton

No doubt, your legacy may be a little seedier than you'd like.

But even though you've done some questionable things, you're still loved by almost all.

    Leaving town, I need advice
I need some advice. I have decided that 20 years is way to long to stay in one city so I have set a goal that after I celebrate my 21st birthday that I am going to leave my hometown of Bakersfield, CA. In order to do this I will set aside any money not used for rent or bills.

Now here is where you come into place, I don't know where I should go. My possible ideas so far are: within the country: San Fransisco; Seattle; New York; Boston; Washington, DC; and outside of the country: Montreal, Canada; London, England; Paris, France; and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

That a total of 8 destinations the cities outside are far less likely than US-bound cities but are still viable if I set my mind to it.

    Please leave your comments below.

PS Also note that write-in answers are welcome especially if people agree with you. :-)

    MS Office
I downloaded the new beta 2 version of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional and I was playing around with Excel. Of course the first thing I did was see what the maximum number of cells you can have and it went up to XFD-1048576. My first impression of the interface is good, I do like the Vista(grey) looks better than the XP look and I love how the menu highlights the button below the mouse and then the color is muted when it isn't being messed with.

    Well just my first thoughts.

I'm over at my mom's house and I found my old mp3 player, a crappy Rio Nitrus. Well I decided that I might try getting it to work again and I did! I'm really happy since the thing was $150 and now I don't have to truck around a spindle of CDs with my CD player to have a ton of music. My only regrets right now are paying so much for the CD player and that I don't have any good headphones around, I'm using the headphones that came with the CD player which sound real tinny and plus they are earbuds which bug me.

What Type of Soul Do You Have ?

You're just the happy go-lucky type. You might have your pet peeves, but other than that, you're mainly calm. Blending in with your surroundings, you're the type of person who everyone likes. Usually it's you who cracks jokes at social gatherings - after all, laughter is the best medicine. Sometimes you pretend to be stupid, but in all actuality, you could be the next Einstein.

You scored as Postmodernist. Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis.

    More Dental Problems
I discovered an abcess on the gum of the tooth that had the root canal done on it which means it will probably have to be pulled. Ugh! I have so many problems with the one tooth that it isn't funny. First it was coming in really crooked, then it had a filling which took two tries (I don't think that it got filled well enough and exposed part of the inner tooth), then it took two tries to do a partial root canal (it was only partial since I couldn't follow-up because the Medi-Cal was cut off).

I don't want to lose another tooth since I had to 8 pulled about three years ago (because my mouth is too small).

I know that pulling it will most likely be the only true option. I hope that if they may be able to finish the root canal and that will fix it, but I fear that it won't.

What really sucks is that I am still in the process of get the Medi-Cal back so fixing it will have to be put off, I'm just glad that it hasn't started hurting yet.

Podcasting and my Thoughts on Journalism
This morning I caught up on my listening to the podcasts I had let get piled up.

Even though I lack an Ipod, I love the idea of podcasts and vlogs (video blogs for those less web-savvy). Especially coupled with an Ipod I see these mediums preempting what the normal mainstream media forgets to cover (sure not everybody body likes the same subjects). One of the things I enjoy about podcasts is the political commentary, I can choose podcasts that appeal to my political standpoints. Sure MSM has started to realize that people crave something beyond the standard they always leave me wanting since they are still trying to keep the pretension of balanced and unbiased reporting the rest of the time.

CNN's idea of taking blog entries and reading them on air in a good idea but they could take it further. Brian Williams' Daily Nightly is a fresh approach, although he doesn't report his blogs, he himself writes down his thoughts about the news he is reporting which gives the story a greater depth.

Another good ideal fostered by the blogs, podcasts and vlogs is the concept of participatory democracy. Participatory democracy gives the user a level control over the content, this means that those who are doing well get rewarded by more listeners. This crucial in an online environment because those who have visiters will be able to devote more time to it. Participatory democracy is also good because it allows the user to give feedback that will be able to influence the direction of future shows and start debates on subjects that interest them.

Well could write pages on this but I feel this pretty good like this.

I just realized that I'm grinding my teeth in my sleep, again. The last time it was accompanied by nightmares about my teeth falling out and my mom helping it along by not taking me to the dentist. I wonder if Walgreens sells teeth guards...

    Laptop
I bought myself a laptop a couple days ago I spent a whole scholarship check getting it. It has an AMD Turion 64 processor (1.8Ghz 64bit), 1GB of RAM, an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card, 100GB hard drive, and a 15.4" widescreen. It has Windows XP but as soon as I find my copy of Partition Magic and Mandrake Linux I will make this be able to dual boot.

    I am happy now.
